Nintendo released the release date for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Pokemon players should be ready for November 28th.
From the press release:
-
The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced today that the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games will launch in Europe on Friday, November 28th, 2014, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems. Pokémon fans will collect, battle, and trade Pokémon as they travel throughout the rich natural beauty of the Hoenn region.
Also confirmed today is that the Pokémon featured on the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire game packages are in fact Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre, a newly revealed transformation of the Legendary Pokémon Groudon and Kyogre. These two extremely powerful Pokémon clashed in an epic battle that once sent Groudon into a long slumber within the magma beneath the planet’s crust and drove Kyogre into a deep sleep at the bottom of the ocean floor. The awesome transformation is a result of Primal Reversion, when Groudon and Kyogre reclaim their original power from nature’s energy and obtain even greater power than they already have. The power within Primal Reversion is still being discovered, as well as what connection may lie between Primal Reversion and Mega Evolution.

Europe got this game a while ago and after a lot of waiting us North Americans will finally get to play. Nintendo was so kind as to release a trailer.
Nintendo is offering a special pokemon that will be given to players once 100 million trades have been done in the game. They’re sitting around 90 million now, so hopefully it won’t be too long before it becomes available.
From the press release:
-
Currently, about 90 million Pokémon have been traded worldwide, and to celebrate the landmark of 100 million Pokémon trades via the Global Trade Station (GTS), a new Fancy Pattern Vivillon will become available to players.
Vivillon is a unique Pokémon in that the patterns and colours on its wings typically vary based on the real-world region in which a player lives. Because of this characteristic, players around the world have been exchanging Vivillon via the GTS to collect all of the regional patterns.

Many folks have been waiting for the Pokemon bank to transfer over pokemon from previous games, but earlier today Nintendo announced that the bank would be put on hold. The bank was released to the Japanese market a couple of days ago, but it’s impact on Nintendo’s servers has made it virtually impossible to do anything and the eShop has ground down to a halt. From current reports it seems as if the North American version of the Pokemon Bank may be in jeopardy until the network issues can be taken care of. We don’t have any word on the official status of the Pokemon Bank, but rumor has it that the bank will be offline until they can solve their network issues.
We’ll have more as it becomes available.
People have been asking for a Nintendo Direct for weeks and it looks like we’re getting one tomorrow. There will be a Nintendo Direct tomorrow for Europe, Japan, and America. The Direct will cover the Wii U and 3DS games coming out this Spring.
