We’ve been waiting a LONG time and it seems like the Wii U is finally getting close to release. Iwata had a Nintendo Direct this afternoon and he detailed quite a bit about the system. Including price, colors, accessories, and other technical tidbits about the system. Later tonight, Nintendo Japan will be having another Nintendo Direct to focus on 1st and 3rd party games coming in Japan. Either way, look for the Wii U to hit Japan on December 8th.

We’ll know more about the EU and US Wii U launches in a few hours. Check out the Nintendo Direct at 11:00pm Japan Time later this evening.
