For those who haven’t jumped on the Final Fantasy XI train, Square Enix has a new collection coming your way. The new collection will also include a new item to help new players get started. It’s called the Destrier Beret and it is loaded with bonuses to give new players a fighting chance in a world where purchasing items on the auction house can be a daunting task due to server inflation.     Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, today announces FINAL FANTASY® XI Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition, a complete package of all FINAL FANTASY XI content released to date, will be available for download for Windows® starting 16th May 2011 from Steam, Nexway and Metaboli.

    The special launch commemorates the 9th anniversary of FINAL FANTASY XI, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) with a large population of players spread across Europe, North America, and Japan. The launch will open the game’s world to an even broader audience.

    Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition will include all four expansions, from the forerunner Rise of the Zilart® to the recently concluded Wings of the Goddess®. It will also include all add-on scenarios, namely, A Crystalline Prophecy ® – Ode of Life Bestowing™, A Moogle Kupo d’Etat ® – Evil in Small Doses™, and A Shantotto Ascension ® – The Legend Torn, Her Empire Born™. Also included are the add-on battle areas Vision of Abyssea ®, Scars of Abyssea ®, and Heroes of Abyssea ®.

    The complete package will be available for download for Windows platforms in all regions that FINAL FANTASY XI is available in (Europe, North America, and Japan).
